RECAP: Breakfast with New Zealand Consul-General to Shanghai

Writer: NZBRiCNZBRiC

On Friday the 27th of April, NZBRiC hosted the first 2023 Breakfast with New Zealand Consul-General to Shanghai, Ardi Barnard.

During the breakfast roundtable, Ardi Barnard provided insights into the post-covid business landscape and key intiatives on the New Zealand Government's agenda for East China in 2023. It was great to hear about the New Zealand Government's efforts in reconnection, support for business visits and international people movements, promotion of tourism and education and the upgraded FTA which came into effect in 2022.

Members also took part in a engaging Q&A, providing the New Zealand Consulate in Shanghai updates on opportunities, challenges and key issues.

NZBRiC would also like to thank Deputy Consul-Generals to Guangzhou and Shanghai; Kerrianne Joe and Wilson Chau, NZTE's Regional Director to Greater China Andrew White and Chair of NZBRiC Mark Anderton for their attendance and engagement with members.

NZBRiC will be hosting Breakfast Roundtables quarterly and we look forward to seeing you at the next one.
