In shared remembrance with the wider New Zealand community, the New Zealand Business Roundtable in China (NZBRiC) and its members attended the ANZAC Day Commemoration Service in Shanghai, co-hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Consulates.

The Dawn Service began at 6:00am with a performance of "Abide With Me" by the Wellington College Choir. Remarks were given by the Australian, New Zealand, and Türkiye Consul-Generals – John Williams, Ardi Barnard, and Özlem Kural – reflecting on the legacy and courage of the ANZACs. At the closing of the ceremony, NZBRiC was honoured to lay a wreath in remembrance of those who served.

In Shanghai’s close-knit community, it was deeply meaningful to come together in honour of those who came before. We’d like to thank the Australian and New Zealand Consulates for hosting the service.

Lest we forget.
