📢 FMCG Industry Forum - Event Recap

Our first Industry Forum of 2025 brought together the New Zealand Business Roundtable in China (NZBRiC)'s FMCG and Corporate Members for insightful presentations and discussions on ‘Emerging Trends and Brand Building’ in China.


Key Takeaways from the Event:


🔹 China’s Booming Pet Industry – Guy Thompson, Associate Director of Insights at United Media Solution, provided an in-depth analysis of the rapid growth in China’s pet consumption sector. His presentation explored demographic shifts, social trends, and platform strategies for brands looking to enter or expand in this space.


🔹 Brand Building Through Social Media – Audrey Li, Social Media Manager at Zespri International, provided valuable insights on leveraging user behaviour, demographics, and platform traffic dynamics on social media platforms to strategically enhance brand positioning in China. Through content case studies, she illustrated how using tailored formulas and methodologies on certain platforms drives optimal results.


Following the presentations, members exchanged insights, shared experiences, and discussed key industry trends. The session concluded with a strategic planning discussion, setting the direction for our next FMCG Industry Forum in Q3.
